AnnapurnaBlue Retreat Center 

AnnapurnaBlue Health and Wellness offers its unique healing programs at several different locations.

 

We are proud to have our own retreat center located on a environmentally protected private lake in the forest of Central Minnesota.

The resort offers a peaceful and isolated quiet space for self- renewal, and natural surroundings for inner healing: a beautiful lake for swimming, paddleboards, canoes and kayaks, green forest, rustling pines, and fresh air. 

In the winter we move our program to warmer locations.  Our favorite is Costa Rica. 

All retreats are prepared specifically for each person to include classes and workshops.  We encourage our guests to enjoy a massage, a yoga class, sound bathing healing class with Tibetan Singing bowls, and meditation.   Enjoy our healthy meals, made fresh daily.

Housing options in Minnesota  include cabins, glamping tents, and Zen studios.

Your Wellness Experience: 
You've decided you need to take care of yourself. The moment you make the commitment to register for a Health and Wellness experience, your retreat begins.  We will reach out to help you plan and prepare for your retreat. We will arrange a Zoom conference to discuss  your needs, obstacles and goals, and set a personalized plan for your retreat.

Mindset Sessions

Our Wellness Sessions are a key element of our retreats. It is during this time the magic begins.

 

These sessions are a perfect time to reflect on what obstacles or negativities you may be facing in your daily life and how they are affecting you physically, mentally, financially, and in other areas within your life.   A time to realize what you would like to change, what wisdom you would like to bring into your life. 

This is the beginning of you becoming a healthier person physically and mentally. 

Wellness Sessions are done as a group, and  one-on-one.  These sessions are judgment free and designed to heal and empower you.

MEDITATION

Our mind is constantly active. Thoughts arise outside of our control. These thoughts can be positive, or negative.  "Monkey mind" is the term used to describe the overactive, chattering mind.

 

 Studies have shown that meditation is an effective way to calm this monkey mind, so it can be more focused and productive. 

 

Practiced in cultures all over the world for thousands of years, meditation uses a set of techniques intended to encourage a heightened state of awareness and focused attention. Meditation is also a consciousness-changing technique that has been shown to have a wide number of benefits on psychological well-being.

Our meditation sessions include  working with the breath, the movement of life force in the body. We use  breathing purification practices that open the inner energy channels to aid in internal healing.

Body Energy Movement

Body movement is crucial for our Mind, Body and Spirit.   Proper body movement reduces anxiety, depression, and diabetes, and assists with weigh management and other physical and mental conditions. 

 

Our retreats incorporate different types of body movement.  Perhaps a yoga session, a qigong session or other structured body movement.  Our sessions allow everyone, from beginners to advanced, to participate at their own level.  

 

  • Qigong ~ An ancient Chinese practice to help reduce stress and help your body function at its best.

  • Yoga ~ Rooted in Indian philosophy, the practice of yoga helps to promote physical and mental well-being.   We offer chair yoga for guests who are not able to do certain poses.       ( We also offer Chair Yoga, a gentle practice in which postures are performed while seated and/or with the aid of a chair. ) 

  • Tibetan Yoga ~ This practice regulates the flow of energy in the body and mind in order to remove negative tendencies and blocks. 

  • Body Dancing ~ Helps you to feed your muscles, mind and spirit.  

  • Tai Chi ~ The gentle Way to reduce Stress and anxiety, increases flexibility and balance. 

  • Kayaking Canoeing, Paddleboarding and Water Sports ~  These are a great way to connect with your body while moving through water, absorbing the power of nature.  

 

Sound Bathing

Sound bathing is the practice of being immersed in sounds and vibrations that have the power to cleanse and heal. It is a journey of self-discovery through deep relaxation and meditation. 

Used by many cultures for thousands of years, sound bathing is a holistic approach to relaxation and healing.  A great escape from the modern stress of life. Much like a bath with soap and water, a sound bath can cleanse your soul and restore your balance. 

We use Tibetan Singing bowls for sound bathing. Surrounded by different singing bowls, you will feel their healing and cleansing power.  Stress, tension and depression are washed away with these vibrations. 

A study done at the National Institute of Health demonstrates that waves of vibrational sounds help reduce stress, fatique and depression symptoms.  

 

Sound bathing with Tibetan singing bowls before and surgery improved heart rates and other vitals.  Reduced anxiety. 

 

Offered in either individual or group sessions.
